Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

CMWA is committed to lighten its footprint on the environment by setting aggressive targets to reduce the consumption of natural resources such as electricity, gas, and water. A recent goal toward this commitment was to accomplish zero waste to landfill. CMWA provided good visual controls and trained its team members about recycling, thus changing everyone’s mindset to not just throw garbage away — recycling has become a way of life for each team member. This challenge was aggressive, but our team members’ skill and commitment moved us in the right direction, allowing this goal to be accomplished in August 2014. CMWA’s “Zero Waste to Landfill” efforts were recognized when it received the KY EXCEL Champion Award on September 9, 2015.
